How to subscribe to a football calendar
Subscribe once and your calendar app automatically stays up to date - new fixtures, postponements and even final scores appear without you doing anything. Here's how to do it on every major platform, including Android - plus how to turn on optional browser reminders before matches you follow.
Find your team's calendar
Type a club name to find its calendar feed and subscribe straight from here.
What's free here
Some football calendar tools cap how many teams you can follow or charge extra to see which channel is showing a match. Nothing on this site is capped or paywalled:
- Unlimited team and competition calendars - subscribe to as many as you like, always free.
- Combine any number of teams, competitions and date ranges into one feed with the custom calendar builder.
- Where to watch each match, by country, across roughly 40 markets - shown on competition and match pages.
- The whole site in 11 languages, including Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Turkish.
- No account needed to subscribe, no ads in your calendar, nothing sold to third parties.
What does subscribing mean?
When you subscribe to a webcal feed, your calendar app checks the URL periodically (usually every few hours) and pulls in any changes. Unlike a one-time .ics import, a subscription keeps fixtures, kickoff-time changes and final scores in sync automatically.
Google Calendar (desktop & Android)
- Click the Add to calendar button on any competition or team page and choose Google Calendar.
- A Google Calendar tab opens showing the calendar name. Click Add calendar.
- The matches appear under Other calendars on all your devices - desktop, Android, and iOS Google Calendar.
On a computer, open Google Calendar and add this calendar. On your phone, use the same Google account and enable the calendar in the app.
Apple Calendar (macOS & iPhone / iPad)
- Click Add to calendar and choose Apple Calendar / iOS.
- Your browser or iOS prompts you to open Calendar and subscribe. Tap or click Subscribe.
- Choose an update frequency (we recommend Every hour) and click OK.
- Matches sync to Calendar on all your Apple devices via iCloud.
Outlook (desktop & Outlook.com)
- Click Add to calendar and choose Outlook.
- Outlook.com opens and asks Add calendar? - click Add.
- The calendar appears under Other calendars and syncs to the Outlook desktop app and mobile app.
Android (non-Google Calendar apps)
Android calendar apps vary. Here are the most common options:
- Google Calendar - use the Google Calendar link above (recommended).
- Samsung Calendar - open the webcal:// link from the Apple Calendar / iOS option. Samsung Calendar detects webcal URLs and offers to subscribe.
- Other apps - look for a Subscribe to calendar or Add URL option in the app settings, then paste the webcal:// link from the Apple Calendar / iOS button.
- If your app doesn't support webcal subscriptions, use the Download .ics file option to import a snapshot (no auto-updates).
Download a one-time .ics file
If you only need the current fixtures and don't want auto-updates, click Add to calendar on any page and choose Download .ics file. Import the file into any calendar app. Note: this is a snapshot - changes to fixtures or results will not update automatically.
Match reminders (browser notifications)
Match reminders are optional browser notifications before matches you follow kick off. They are spoiler-free (no scores), work even when the tab is closed, and fire at the times you choose - 60 minutes before and/or at kickoff. They are per-device, so turn them on wherever you want them. Prefer zero setup? The calendar subscription above already reminds you 1 hour before and at kickoff, on every device.
How to enable
- Sign in on the My matches page - just your email, no password.
- Follow a team or competition so there are matches to remind you about.
- Under Match reminders, turn on Enable reminders on this device.
- Allow the browser's notification prompt when it appears.
- Pick your reminder times - 60 min before and/or At kickoff.
If it doesn't work
If the toggle won't stay on, or the status says "Registration failed - push service error", your browser could not reach its notification service. Try:
- Brave - open
brave://settings/privacy, turn on Use Google services for push messaging, then restart Brave and try again. - Notifications blocked - click the lock or site-info icon in the address bar, allow Notifications, then toggle reminders on again.
- iPhone or iPad - add the site to your Home Screen first (Share, then Add to Home Screen) and open it from there. iOS only allows web notifications for sites added to the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later).
- Work network or VPN - some networks block notification services; try a different network.
Prefer not to use notifications, or still stuck? Use the calendar subscription above instead - it reminds you 1 hour before and at kickoff, on every device, with no browser setup.
Frequently asked questions
- How often does the calendar update?
- Your calendar app controls the refresh interval. Most apps check every 1-24 hours. Scores and fixture changes on our side are usually live within minutes.
- Will I see scores after a match finishes?
- Yes. The calendar event title updates to show the final score once the result is confirmed, for example: Arsenal FC 2-1 Chelsea FC (FT).
- How do I unsubscribe?
- In Google Calendar, right-click the calendar under Other calendars and choose Unsubscribe. In Apple Calendar, right-click the calendar and choose Delete calendar. In Outlook, open calendar settings and remove the subscription.
- Do reminders work when my browser is closed?
- Browser notifications fire as long as the browser is still running in the background, even with no tab open. If you fully quit the browser they resume when you reopen it. Calendar reminders from a subscription do not depend on the browser at all.
- Are reminders per-device?
- Yes. Turn on "Match reminders" on each device where you want notifications. Your followed teams sync across devices, but the notification permission is granted per browser.
